Initiating a three-way call
1. Momentarily press the hook switch or flash key on the telephone while
in a two-way phone conversation.
2. When you hear the dial tone, dial the telephone number of the third
party you wish to add.
3. When the connection is made with the third party, momentarily press
the hook switch or flash key again to add the first party back into the
conversation.
Ending a three-way call
➤ To end the three-way calling session and return to your original two-way
call, simply press the hook switch again.
➤ To end the two-way or three-way calling session completely, simply
place the handset on the hook switch.
NOTE
Pressing the hook switch momentarily (for less than 1.5 seconds) will
activate this feature. Pressing it for more than 1.5 seconds will terminate the
call. Very briefly pressing the hook switch will have no effect.
Voice mail
The NIU supports standard voice mail systems offered by your service
provider.
A special stutter dial tone will be played if unheard messages are in your
voice mail box. To access your voice mail, you must dial the appropriate
number and codes given by your service provider, or if supported:

Caller ID
If you have a telephone or display box that supports caller ID display
capability, you can use caller ID with your NIU. Caller ID shows you the
caller’s telephone number after the first ring. The number will not appear if
the caller has blocked delivery of the number, or if it is otherwise restricted.
