Storing a hotline number
Dial on your touchtone telephone:
You will hear a confirmation tone, and the dial tone will resume.
EXAMPLE
To program the local phone number 555-1212 as a hotline number, dial:
#20 555 1212 #
Canceling the stored hotline number
Dial on your touchtone telephone:
You will hear a confirmation tone, and the dial tone will resume.
User-programmable alarms
With the NIU you can set from one to six occasional alarms to sound within
a 24-hour period. One standing alarm can also be set to ring for one minute
at the same time every day.
Occasional alarms
An occasional alarm is a one-time setting. It causes the telephone to ring
for one minute at the designated time and is automatically canceled when
it is answered.
Setting an occasional alarm
Dial on your touchtone telephone:
You will hear a confirmation tone, and the dial tone will resume.
EXAMPLE
To program an occasional alarm to go off at 8:30 a.m. dial #16 0830#
<phone number> = the hotline phone number that you want stored
<hhmm = desired time in hours and minutes based on a 24-hour clock
format. For example, 11:24 p.m. would be 2324 and 11:24 a.m.
would be 1124.
