Connecting additional telephone devices
Connecting devices in other rooms
You can connect several
telephone devices
directly to the NIU.
NOTE
For best performance the
NIU should be at least
1.3 meters (4 feet) away
from any connected
device.
The NIU is designed to
operate several devices
throughout a home
prewired for telephones
(see caution below).
Connect it to a
telephone jack that is
wired to telephone jacks
in other rooms.
CAUTION
Do NOT connect the NIU to a live wireline phone jack. Damage could result. If
you have standard wireline phone service (a physical phone line connection
to your telephone company), contact a professional telephone installer for
assistance before connecting the NIU to a telephone jack on the wall.
