Driving safely
Before you use your phone while driving, check the local
laws and regulations on the use of portable wireless phones
in vehicles. Always obey them, and exercise caution while
driving.
The following ten guidelines for using your phone while
driving are based on a list provided by the Cellular
Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA).
1. Get to know your wireless phone and its features,
such as speed dial (page 16) and redial
(page 11). These features help you to place your
call without taking your attention off the road.
2. When available, use a hands free device. Add
additional convenience and safety to your wireless
phone with one of QUALCOMM’s hands-free
accessories, such as the Hands-free Car Kit (Model #
TXCKT031) and the Hands-free Headset (Model #
TXCKT031, shown below).
