1. Latch Holds the top of the external battery in
place.
2. Screw Holds the internal battery in place. Do
not remove the internal battery at any
time. If you ever need to replace the
internal battery, have your QUALCOMM
service center install a replacement.
3. Internal battery The internal battery is flush with the
back surface of the phone.
4. Contacts The external battery rests against these
contacts, which allow it to transmit
energy to the phone.
5. Slots The two “teeth” at the base of the
external battery fit into these slots.
The combination of the teeth and the
latch hold the external battery firmly in
place.
Resetting the phone
On rare occasions, a portable wireless phone may “lock up.”
This is usually due to a temporary computer chip
malfunction. If this happens, press , , and

very reliable and provide extra-long talk and standby times.
