Menu item descriptions
1. Keyguard
This feature disables the keypad to protect your phone
against accidental key presses. See “Using the keyguard” on
page 8 for more details.
2. Volume
The items in this menu enable you to adjust the volume of
the ringer, keys, earpiece, and incoming message alert.
Different menu items appear if your phone is attached to
the Hands-free Car Kit or the Hands-free Headset: for
example, Car Spkr Volume and Headset Volume.
2-1. Ringer Adjusts the ringer volume. You can also
adjust the ringer volume with the
volume keys on the side of the phone
when the phone is ringing or in
standby mode. Possible settings: off,
escalate, low, M-, M+, high.
2-2. Key Beep Adjusts the key beep volume. Possible
settings: off, low, M-, M+, high.
2-3. Earpiece Adjusts the earpiece volume. You can
also adjust the volume during a call by
pressing the volume keys on the side of
the phone. There are seven volume
levels.
