Adjusting the volume
This section explains some easy ways to adjust the volume.
You can also use the menu options on the Volume menu
(see “Volume” on page 36).

To silence the ringer
➤ When the phone rings, press to turn off the
ringer.
The display momentarily reads “RINGER SILENCED,” then
returns to “INCOMING CALL.” You may press to
answer the call even after turning off the ringer.

To mute a call
➤ During a call, hold the key under [MENU] for
about two seconds to mute or unmute the phone.
When the phone is muted, the message “MUTED” appears
on the display. The other party will not hear anything you
say.

To adjust the earpiece volume
➤ During a call, press or to adjust the
earpiece volume up or down.

To adjust the ringer volume
➤ In standby mode, press the volume keys to adjust
the ringer volume up or down.
