receiving any signal. Wait a few minutes to
see if you get a signal, or try moving into an
open area.
On Call icon. Indicates you are on a call.
Roaming icon. You are outside of your
regular service area. If the icon is flashing,
it means that you are completely outside
your home system. Different rates may
apply.
Envelope icon. You have a voice mail, page,
or text message. Press to see message
information. See “Voice mail, pages, and
text messages” on page 30.
Padlock icon. Your phone is operating with
enhanced CDMA voice privacy. Your service
provider determines the availability of this
feature. When the padlock icon appears over
a Smart Key, the keyguard is on.
Battery Charge icon. This icon indicates
how much power is left in the battery that is
currently in use. The more black bars you
see, the fuller the battery is. See “Battery
power levels” on page 51 for information
about recharging the battery.
