Safe operating instructions
Using your phone properly increases the number of years of
service it will give you. Read the following cautions before
you use the phone.
• If you have a pacemaker, keep the phone at least
six inches (15 centimeters) away from your
chest. If your phone is too close to a pacemaker, its
radio frequency (RF) energy may interfere with the
pacemaker. If you have any reason to suspect a
problem, turn off your phone immediately. See
“Safety information” on page 57 for more
information.
• If you plan to carry your phone in a pocket or
purse, activate the keyguard to prevent accidental
key presses. Press the key under the word
[MENU] on the display, then press to
activate the keyguard. See “Using the keyguard” on
page 8 for more information.
• Only use QUALCOMM-approved accessories with
QUALCOMM phones. Use of any unauthorized
accessories may be dangerous and will invalidate the
phone warranty if said accessories cause damage or a
defect to the phone.
