Resetting pdQ Smartphone
Under normal circumstances, you will never have to reset the pdQ
smartphone. However, on rare occasions pdQ smartphone may “hang” (no
longer respond to buttons or taps on the screen). In this case, you need to
perform a reset to get pdQ smartphone running again.
To perform a soft reset:
A soft reset tells pdQ smartphone to stop what it’s doing and start over
again. All records and entries stored in pdQ smartphone are retained with a
soft reset. After a soft reset, the Welcome to pdQ smartphone screen appears
followed by the General Preferences screen (to set time and date).
Remove the battery and replace it after two minutes.
To perform a hard reset:
A hard reset also tells pdQ smartphone to start over again. With a hard reset
all records and entries stored in pdQ smartphone are erased. Therefore, never
perform a hard reset unless a soft reset does not solve your problem.
You can restore any data previously synchronized with your
computer during the next HotSync operation.
Remove the battery and replace it after ten minutes.
Radio Frequency (RF) Energy
Your telephone is a radio transmitter and receiver. When it is on, it receives
and also sends out RF energy. Your service provider’s phone network controls
the power level of the RF signal. This power level can range from 0.006 watts
to 0.6 watts.
Exposure to RF Energy
In August 1996, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
adopted RF exposure guidelines with safety levels for hand-held wireless
phones. These guidelines are consistent with the safety standards previously
set by both U.S. and international standards bodies in the following reports:
ANSI C95.1 (American National Standards Institute, 1992)
NCRP Report 86 (National Council on Radiation Protection and
Measurements, 1986)
ICNIRP (International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation
Protection, 1996)
