Features
pdQ™ smartphone’s advanced phone and messaging
capabilities make it easier than ever to make a phone call,
receive a page, see who left voice mail, and participate in a
conference (three-way) call. It only takes a few minutes to
appreciate the freedom of being able to answer calls and
respond to pages any time, any where.
This chapter explains how to use pdQ smartphone’s phone and
messaging features effectively. Here you learn how to use pdQ
smartphone as the integrated phone and message
management solution. It also explains how to make phone calls using
applications such as the Address Book and Call History. For more
information about a specific application, see the pdQ Applications
Handbook.
Making Basic Phone Calls
To make a call from the keypad:
1 Press and hold on the keypad to turn on the phone.
2 Press keys to enter a phone number, then press .
3 Press when finished.
To make a call using the Dialer:
Use the Dialer to make phone calls with the keypad open.
1 Open the keypad, then tap to open on-screen keypad.
2 Tap keys to enter a phone number, then tap Send.
3 Tap End when finished.
Using Advanced pdQ Smartphone Calling Features
To make a call from the keypad using the Speed Dialer list:
1 Press and hold on the keypad to turn on the phone.
