Defining Web Preferences
Web preferences make it easy for you to determine the amount of cache
memory you want to assign for Internet access. Cache memory defines the
amount of memory available for storing web pages on the pdQ smartphone.
Assigning a high cache size allows you to store web page information and
save network interaction time at the expense of using more memory. In
other words, the higher the cache value the less memory available for other
pdQ smartphone operations and applications. The default setting is 300K.
To define Web preferences:
1 Tap to display the Bookmarks screen.
2 Tap to display the Web menus.
3 Tap Options, then Preferences.
4 Enter the memory size of the cache on the Maximum Cache Size line.
Connecting the HotSync Cradle
The cradle that comes with pdQ smartphone enables you to synchronize the
information on pdQ smartphone and the Palm Desktop software using
HotSync
®
technology.
To connect the cradle:
Turn off your computer and plug the cable from the pdQ smartphone
into the serial communications port on your computer.
