Security
Your pdQ™ smartphone comes with a Security application so that
unauthorized users cannot view the entries you wish to protect. Use
Phone Preferences to define security for the pdQ smartphone.
With the Security application you can:
■ Hide record entries you mark as “Private.” You can hide private entries
with or without a password. Without a password, private entries are
hidden until you set the Security application to show them. With a
password, you must enter the password to view the private entries.
■ Turn off and lock pdQ smartphone so that it does not operate until you
enter the correct password.
To open the Security application:
1 Open the keypad, then tap to open the Applications Launcher.
2 Tap to display the Security screen.
To assign a password:
You can assign a password to protect your private entries and to lock pdQ
smartphone.
1 Tap the Password box in the Security screen to open the Password
dialog.
