Cable Installation
This chapter describes how to install the cables for a basic mobile computing platform (MCP)
system installation.
Because vehicles differ widely, cables can be installed in many different ways. This chapter
provides guidelines for most installations.
If you planned your installation using the information provided in Chapter 4, you already know
where you will be installing the SDM, MAS, and display unit components. You need to
determine the most direct and protected route you can follow in routing cables to connect
these components to each other and to the vehicle.
The instructions in this chapter will help you ensure that the installation is free from defects
and potential problems.
