Conventional Vehicle Types
The following section illustrates top-down views of typical installation locations for the MAS,
display unit, and cables in the conventional vehicle. Descriptions of the locations and the
reasons for selecting them are also provided.
International/Navistar
•MAS
Install in the driver side toolbox. Hang from under the bunk.
- Install so there is always access to the SD card slot.
Display unit
Install where space allows and according to customer preference.
Cables
Route externally or internally as appropriate.
- Install so a 1 1/2" hole can be cut for the SDM cable.
Freightliner FLD
•MAS
Attach to the floor in the small, less-used storage area on the passenger side under
the bunk. There is a pre-existing access hole here to the exterior. This compartment may
be accessed by lifting up the bunk.
- Install so there is always access to the SD card slot.
Display unit
Attach to the electrical access panel behind the gearshift lever where it is
accessible.
Cables
Route externally. Power cable connections are made at the A pillar at the driver-
side mirror.
- Cables exit/enter the sleeper near the MAS.
- Cables enter/exit the cab low on the passenger side of the firewall, away from the foot
area.
