The Remote Control Device (RCD)
The OmniVision system includes an RCD which is used to play text messages. The RCD is
connected to the accessory cable and allows the driver to listen to messages safely while
driving. If you are using an existing speaker, the normal audio of the speaker will be
overridden by the OmniVision system whenever a message is played.
The Battery Pack
The OmniVision system is supplied with a rechargeable lead-acid battery designed
specifically for this product. It is installed into the MAS. The purpose of the battery pack is to
safely shut down the MAS in cases where vehicle power is lost.
Note
The MAS will function without the battery pack, however a fully charged battery pack must be
used for maximum functionality of the OmniVision system.
