If the STATUS is GOOD, go to step 6.
If the STATUS is a numerical value, go to the appropriate diagnostic chapter in the
OmniVision™ MCP and Accessory Diagnostic Guide
for that value.
6. Check the display unite NO SIGNAL light. When the MCP acquires the Data satellite
signal, the NO SIGNAL light goes out.
If the NO SIGNAL light goes out, go to step 7.
If the NO SIGNAL light stays on or continues to flash, go to Chapter 5 in the
OmniVision™ MCP and Accessory Diagnostic Guide
.
Note
If the MCP was just installed, it may take as long as 10 minutes for the MCP to acquire
the satellite signal.
7. To view MCP addresses and diagnostic information on the MDU from the View Status
screen, press or until the MCP Information screen appears.
8. Verify that the back up battery voltage is 4.527 volts, shown as 4527 on the screen.
If the back up battery voltage is 4.527 volts, go to step 9.
If the back up battery voltage is not 4.527 volts, go to Chapter 16 in the
OmniVision™ MCP and Accessory Diagnostic Guide
.
9. Check that the FC/no is 45–62 and the RC/no is 25–45 for your present location.
If the C/no values are acceptable for your location, go to step 10.
If the C/no values are not acceptable for your location, go to Chapter 10 in the
OmniVision™ MCP and Accessory Diagnostic Guide
.
10. Press the OPTION key and then three times to display the MCP Positioning screen.
11. Check the POSITIONING STATUS.
