The AmberWatch Foundation
Mission
The AmberWatch Foundation [AWF] is a national non-profit dedicated to the prevention of child abduction and
molestation. AWF provides innovative educational programs and tools to help children stay safe from sexual
predators and abduction.
Philosophy
When it comes to issues of personal safety, AWF believes that if the children and parents can see it, hear it and talk
about it, they will learn it! For this reason, the AmberWatch Foundation "Be Safe!" Education Program was created to
dynamically and proactively educate children and parents on the dangers that exist, and how they can protect
themselves from child abductors and molesters. AWF is also on a constant lookout for the latest consumer-ready
technologies in an effort to leverage the latest advancements in our quest to protect the nation’s children.
Implementation
The AmberWatch Foundation "Be Safe!" Education Program is a four-pronged approach to arming children against
abductors and molesters. The AmberWatch Foundation is fulfilling its mission by:
1. Presenting the "Be Safe!" Curriculum in schools and nationally recognized civic groups with the help of local
law enforcement professionals
2. Distributing the "Be Safe!" Book to ignite conversation between parents and children
3. Disseminating print, radio and television public service announcements nationwide
4. Making available innovative safety devices aimed at helping children stay safe from predators and abductors
The AmberWatch Mobile Initiative
The AmberWatch Mobile Initiative is supported by a collaboration of the wireless industry to serve our children
through innovative technology. 100% of the net proceeds from the AmberWatch Mobile HERO service fees will fund
the AmberWatch Foundation and their beneficiaries committed to the safety, education, and well-being of our
children.
Overview
The AmberWatch Mobile HERO is a small and simple GPS tracking device based on Qualcomm gpsOne technology
and complementary control-server technology for accurate, real-time tracking. It is fully compatible with the
CDMA2000 1x standard and its design is optimized to minimize cost and size while maximizing battery life and
offering superb positioning location performance.

Hibernation
Hibernation is an innovative concept in the cellular world. It extends battery life beyond normal cellular phone standby
