1.1.5 Distributors and OEMs:
For the regular Globalstar Tri Mode Phone, cellular and satellite
distributorships provide customers retail sales conduits to purchase,
provision, and repair Tri Mode Phones throughout the world.
For the GSP 1620 Packet Data Modem OEM’s and VARs directly integrate
the module into a market specific product which is then resold to a business /
industrial customer. The OEM/VAR may be able to buy bulk airtime from a
Gateway Service Provider, and bulk modules (in units of 50) direct from
Qualcomm. The OEM then integrates the Modem into their product line.
