This chapter provides support information for users who encounter any issues
with the GSP 1620 Packet Data Modem hardware and software. The chapter
contains contact information for QUALCOMM Globalstar Customer Service, and
a description of the support you can receive from the Order Fulfillment and
Technical Support teams.
12.1 QUALCOMM Globalstar Customer Service
QUALCOMM Globalstar Customer Service provides skilled staff to support you
with order fulfillment (purchase order requests and Return Material
Authorizations, or RMAs) and technical support.

12.1.1 Order Fulfillment
To repair, replace, or upgrade parts, you must request an RMA (Return Material
Authorization) from QUALCOMM. The Technical Support team must approve
all RMA requests before the Order Fulfillment team processes the RMA. See
Section 12.2for information about how to submit RMA requests. For details on
the RMA process, consult the following references:

Order Fulfillment support is available 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PT)
Monday through Friday.
Note: Pacific Time (PT) is Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) when Daylight Saving
Time is in effect, and is Pacific Standard Time (PST) during the remainder of the
year. Daylight Saving Time begins the first Sunday in April and ends the last
Sunday in October. International customers, note that PST is Universal Time
(UTC) minus 8 hours, and PDT is UTC minus 7 hours. (UTC stands for
Universal Time Co-ordinated, and is also written UCT for Universal
Coordinated Time. UTC/UCT replaces the older terminology, GMT, for
Greenwich Mean Time.)
