4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Emergency and First Aid Procedures:
In case of adverse exposure to vapors and/or aerosols, immediately remove the affected victim from
exposure and get immediate medical attention. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, give
artificial respiration.
If Inhaled: Remove person to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, get immediate medical attention.
In Case of Skin Contact: Flush skin with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated
clothing. If irritation persists, call a doctor/physician.
In Case of Eye Contact: Flush eyes with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Hold eyelids open
and flush with water. Remove contact lenses, if present, after 5 minutes and continue rinsing eye. Get medical
attention.
If Ingested: If swallowed, wash out mouth with large amounts of water if person is conscious. Get immediate
medical attention.
Note To Physician: Treat symptomatically and supportively.

Suitable Extinguishing Media: Foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, water spray, sand
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use a heavy water stream
Firefighting Instructions: Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers. Exercise caution when
fighting any chemical fire. Avoid (reject) fire-fighting water to enter environment.
Protective Equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact
with skin and eyes. Wear a self contained breathing apparatus in pressure demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved
or equivalent) and full protective gear. Material will not burn.
