1. See Table 2-2, Q4000 Power Consumption, for complete operating current consumption
specifications.
2. DTR asserted can wake the modem from sleep mode.
3. Input resistance high impedance >1M ohms
4. Pins 5 and 6 provide a continuous output that cannot be disabled. The total current added up
between Pin 5 and 6 cannot exceed 650 mA. If any external voltages are applied to these pins it may
cause permanent damage and will void the warranty.
5. Pin 8 (AUX_TX_RS232) and Pin 10 (AUX_RX_RS232) are the DPL ports in the Q4000 with Iridium
version of the modem.
6. If the Q4000 contains an internal GPS, then Pin 12 (GPS_RX_RS232) is not connected. Otherwise
it’s part of the serial port.
Due to variances in connector designations, refer to provided ICD for Pin 1 location on the Q4000.
