A. Mantel and Wall Projections
WARNING! Risk of Fire! Comply with all minimum clear-
ances to combustibles as speci ed. Framing or nishing
material closer than the minimums listed must be construct-
ed entirely of noncombustible materials (i.e., steel studs,
concrete board, etc).
Clearance to combustible material under the insert is 1/4
inch (6 mm). Clearance from top of replace opening for
combustibles extending 12 inches max. is 12 inches.
Use leveling legs to raise insert minimum 1/4 inch (6 mm)
above combustible material or outer wrap of factory built
rebox.
Combustible facings must not extend behind the insert
surround. For non-combustible material speci cations
refer to section 1.E.

B. Remove the Shipping Materials
Remove shipping materials from inside or underneath the
rebox. Remove metal panels covering electrical compo-
nents on sides of appliance.
C. Inspect Firebox
Surface cracking or crazing of rebrick material is normal
and expected. All cracks are acceptable and do not require
replacement of the unit or the rebox with the exception of:
Cracks compromising the surface plane of the rebox.
