If the ash buildup exceeds the half way point in the repot
before it automatically cleans, then the repot is not being
cleaned often enough.
Double check the wall control to
ensure the proper setting has been selected for the fuel
you are burning. If that is correct, change the setting to WD
Pellet-Util.
C. High Ash Fuel Content Maintenance

Follow the detailed instructions found in this section for each
step listed below.
Allow the appliance to completely cool down.
Empty the repot. Section 10, B.3
Clean the rebox. Section 10, B.5
Empty the ash drawer. Section 10, B.4
Dispose of the ashes. Section 10, B.6
Restart the appliance with selected fuel on wall control.
WARNING
Fire and Smoke Risk.
High ash fuels or lack of maintenance
can cause repot to over ll. Follow
proper shutdown procedure if ash buildup
exceeds half way point in repot.
Failure to do so could result in smoking,
sooting and possible hopper res.
D. Baf e Removal
a. Allow appliance to cool completely.
b. Open door.
c. The baf e is located at the top inside of rebox.
d. Remove baf e by placing a at head screwdriver into
the slot of the latches located in the upper corners and
push down. The bottom of the latch will fall forward off
of the post. Lift the baf e up and then out toward you.

e. To replace the baf e, place the 2 locating ears behind
the bottom edge and tilt the baf e up and into place.
the baf e must be centered in the rebox before latch-
ing it in place. If it is not centered the latch is trapped
between the baf e and side of the rebox instead of
latching properly. The bottom of the latches will t
over the posts. Push the top of the latch forward to
lock latch into place.

WARNING
Cast iron is a very heavy material. The baf e is
made of cast iron and therefore is heavy and awk-
ward at times to maneuver. Clear and prepare
your work area before you begin.
