1. Convection Blower Replacement
a. Use proper shut down procedures to shut down the
applianceandletitcompletelycool.
b. The convection blower is located at the bottom rear
oftheappliance.Ifanoutsideairkitisalsoinstalled,
depending on your particular installation you may or
maynothavetoremovetheoutsideairange.Ifyou
do,removethe2screwsusingaPhillipsheadscrew-
driver.Youdonotneedtoremovetheexpipefrom
theange.
c. Remove the lower rear screen by removing the 4
screwssecuringthescreentotheunit.
d. Themotorismountedonaremovablebracket.Removethe
2screwsjustabovethemotorandthewholeassemblywilltilt
downandpullout.
e. Disconnectthewiresfromtheblower.Thewirescoming
fromthewiringharnessarewhite,redandtanandthe
wirescomingfromtheblowerareblack,whiteandred.
Thewhiteconnectstowhite,theredtoredandblackto
thetancolorwire.

Poorqualitypelletfuel,orlackofmaintenance,cancreate
conditionsthatmaketherepotllquicklywithashesand
clinkers.
Thisconditionmakestheappliancesusceptibletooverll-
ing the repot with pellets which may result in smoking,
sootingandpossiblehopperres.Figure 33.1showsan
examplewheretherepotoverlls,pelletsbackupintothe
feedtubeandashhasaccumulatedintherebox.
An inefcient and non-economical method of burning of
fuelcaused by poorquality pellet fuelis shown in Figure
33.2.
Thecorrectamesizewhengoodquality,premiumpellet
fuelisburnedisshowninFigure 33.3.
Iftheashbuildupexceedsthehalfwaypointintherepot
IMMEDIATE ATTENTION AND CLEANING IS REQUIRED.
Fire Risk.
WARNING
• High ash fuels, or lack of maintenance, can
cause the firepot to overfill. Follow proper
shutdown procedure if ash buildup exceeds
half way point in firepot.
• Failure to do so could result in smoking,
sooting and possible hopper fires.
