Section 2: Installation and Setup
Installation consists of mounting WebRelay-Quad™, connecting to an IP network, providing
power, configuring via a web browser, and wiring relay contacts to the device that will be
controlled.
2.1 Mounting
WebRelay-Quad™
can be be wall mounted or DIN rail mounted. It should be mounted in a clean
dry location where it is protected from the elements. Ventilation is recommended for installations
where ambient air temperature is expected to be high.
2.1.1 Wall Mounting
WebRelay-Quad™
includes two keyholes in the rear of its enclosure for wall mounting. Mount to
a wall by using two #8 screws. Attach the screws to the wall vertically spaced exactly 2.5 inches
apart. The head of the screws should be about 1/10 inch away from the wall. See Appendix C for
mechanical details.
2.1.2 DIN-Rail Mounting
WebRelay-Quad™
can be mounted to a standard (35mm by 7.55mm) DIN rail. Attach WebRelay-
Quad™
to the DIN rail by hooking the top hook on the back of the enclosure to the DIN rail and
then snap the bottom hook into place. Remove WebRelay-Quad™
from DIN rail using a flat-head
screwdriver. Insert the screwdriver into the notch in the release tab and pry against the enclosure
to release the bottom hook.
