You can use the Command Line Interface to display and save the system event log on remote management
clients.
4. To display and save the System Event Log (SEL) in text format on remote system (where the dpcproxy is
running), type:
dpccli> displaylog -F csv -O c:\ER.sel
1,Pre-Init Time-stamp ,Processor #0x60,Processor Presence detected
2,Pre-Init Time-stamp ,Processor #0x61,Processor Presence detected

5. In the previous step, you saved the System Event Log (SEL) to c:\ER.sel on the remote management
console. To view the SEL, open the ER.sel file in notepad. (Open Windows Explorer on the management
console (laptop) and right-click on the ER.sel file and open with notepad.)
Note: To save the SEL to HEX format remotely, type: displaylog ¡VF hex ¡VO c:\ER.sel.
Using Serial Over LAN
1. To remote power-off the managed system, type:
dpccli> power –off
2. To power on the managed system and start a SOL session, type:
dpccli> power -on –console
3. Monitor the system BIOS boot up screen via Serial Over Lan (SOL):
Press “F2” go to BIOS menu and select “Discard Changes and Exit”
4. To exit the Telnet session and close the Telnet localhost window, type “~.”
