5. Pull the power cable through the 5 ¼-inch peripheral opening.
6. Attach cabling to the 5 ¼-inch peripheral according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
7. Slide the 5 ¼-inch peripheral device into the server until it clicks into place. See the following figure.

Removing a 5 ¼-inch Peripheral Device
1. Push the tabs at each side of the peripheral device.
2. Hold the tabs in while pulling the peripheral device from the bay.
3. Disconnect any cables at the rear of the device.
4. Unscrew the slide rails from the 5 ¼-inch peripheral device.
5. Install the slide rails on the replacement device or install them on the 5 ¼-inch filler panel that came with
your server.
6. Slide the replacement device or filler panel into the 5 ¼-inch bay until it clicks into place.
