5. Install the replacement I/O Riser.
6. Rotate the retention latch into the down position.
7. Press the card down firmly until it is securely seated in the slot.
8. Install the top cover. For instructions, see “Installing the Top Cover” on page 52.
Installing and Removing the Intel® Remote Management Module 3 (RMM3)
The optional Intel®RMM3 comes as a kit with these contents:
 One Intel® Remote Management Module 3
 One plastic bag of screws, a slot bracket and cabling
Installing the RMM 3
1. Remove the top cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Top Cover” on page 82.
2. Remove the I/O riser card. For instructions, see “Removing the I/O Riser” on page 92.
3. Set the I/O riser card on a static-controlled surface with the components facing up.
4. Attach the bracket to the RMM3 with the screws provided.
5. Write down the MAC address on the Intel®RMM3. It is on a label attached to the Intel®RMM3. If you do not
write down the MAC address before installing the Intel®RMM3, you will need to open the system later to
record this information before you can configure the Intel®RMM3.
6. Screw the RMM3 module into the steel I/O Riser end plate as shown.
