2. Remove memory riser (“either memory riser# 1 or # 8”) and pertinent memory dividers and risers to provide
clear access to the iBBU bracket mounted on the server chassis right wall.
See “Figure 6. Memory Riser Locations and Numeration” on page 8 for the location of the riser. The riser
number is also etched on the chassis mid-brace. For instructions on removing a memory riser see
“Removing a Memory Riser” on page 64. For instructions on removing a memory divider see “Removing the
Memory Dividers” on page 95.
3. Remove the iBBU battery holder from the chassis (“2”).

4. Install the iBBU battery into the holder.

5. Connect the iBBU power cable to the battery.
6. Attach the iBBU holder to the chassis side: align the tabs on the holder with the rectangular holes in the
chassis interior.
