Installing and Removing the iBBU 07 (Intelligent Battery Backup Unit)

The iBBU07 is a battery-backup unit that protects the integrity of the cached data on the SAS controller by

providing backup power if there is a complete AC power failure or a brief power outage. The iBBU battery must

be purchased separately from the installation kit that contains these components:

 One iBBU power cable

 One iBBU remote converter module

The BBU holder is accompanied with the system.

Installing the iBBU 07 (intelligent Battery Backup Unit)

1. Locate the BBU location, see the following images. The BBU Holder is pre-installed in the system at the

location closer to Memory Riser# 1. A second BBU location is as the second image shown, closer to Memory

Riser#8 used for external JBOD support.
