Installing the Top Cover

1. Place the cover over the chassis so that the side edges of the cover sit just inside the chassis sidewalls and

the tabs on the cover align with the slots in the chassis.

2. Slide the cover forward until it clicks into place. See letter “A” in the figure below.

3. Replace the one screw in the top cover. See letter “B” in the figure below.

4. Release the locking latches on the front of the inner rails.

Warning DO NOT release the locking latching in the middle of the inner rails. These latches release the

server from the rails completely. Two people are required to physically handle this server. Serious

hazard warning.

5. Slide the system back into the rack.

6. Secure the two rack knobs.

7. Reconnect all peripheral devices and the AC power cords.
