Preparing the Key Solenoid Rail
In this chapter, we determine the throw of the key solenoid plunger in relaon to the piano acon’s key‐tail travel.
We also walk through the process of key solenoid alignment with respect to the piano acons keytails.When this
chapter’s work has been done, the solenoid rail
will have the proper rail height and plunger throw.The mounng
bracketswillbeinplaceandreadyformounngtothepiano.
Toolsneededincludethe2oponalrailsupportbracketsa11/32"nutdriver,
two rail bracket mounng screws, screwdriver, hacksaw, metal file, ruler
and a pencil.The piano acon is on your
workbenchandthekeysarefacingawayfromyou.
