Preparing the Key Solenoid Rail
In this chapter, we determine the throw of the key solenoid plunger in relaon to the piano acon’s keytail travel.
We also walk through the process of key solenoid alignment with respect to the piano acons keytails.When this
chapter’s work has been done, the solenoid rail
will have the proper rail height and plunger throw.The mounng
bracketswillbeinplaceandreadyformounngtothepiano.
Toolsneededincludethe2oponalrailsupportbracketsa11/32"nutdriver,
two rail bracket mounng screws, screwdriver, hacksaw, metal le, ruler
and a pencil.The piano acon is on your
workbenchandthekeysarefacingawayfromyou.
