QNAP TS-509 Pro Turbo NAS is a 5-bay, hot-swappable All-in-one NAS (Network Attached Storage) Server designed for
growing SMB and enterprises. Powered by Intel 1.6GHz CPU and 1GB DDRII memory, it delivers superior performance for
multiple business applications and intensive concurrent data access. Advanced RAID congurations for non-stop service are
also supported. RAID 5 is a widely adopted conguration for highly economic data protection that allows one drive failure with
the system running. RAID 6 allows the failure of maximum two drives to offer business a more advanced data protection. The
best-in-class RAID on TS-509 Pro brings users a higher level of data security by allowing one more hard drive failure than
other NAS of the same level. In other words, users can rescue their critical data when 2 drives fail in RAID 5 or 3 drives fail in
RAID 6 to avoid any data loss.

an easy-to-access environment and lower the maintenance cost. The Web Server comes with built-in Joomla! CMS, MySQL,
and SQLite for users to easily set up their own web pages and database servers. Also, encrypted remote replication and
backup to external devices are supported to enhance data protection. Various data storage and management mechanisms-
FTP server with SSL/TLS encrypted technology, SSH login, and web page SSL login enable users to transfer, store, and share
data securely.

The exible Online RAID Capacity Expansion and RAID Level Migration features lower the total cost of ownership. With Online
RAID Capacity Expansion, administrators can select to purchase the most cost-effective hard drives for initial server setup and

without turning off the server. With Online RAID Level Migration, administrators can start from one drive rstly and add more to
