VMS Interface for QMS Crown Printers1-6
Many printer manufacturers provide only one set of parameters that
the system administrator must use for all print jobs. Using the stan-
dard VMS PRINT command qualifiers, however, you can customize
the output for each job by temporarily changing the default configura-
tion setting on the QMS Crown printer. This is accomplished through
the QMS-provided characteristic file which contains the mapping of
the PRINT qualifiers to appropriate Document Option Commands
(DOC). Detailed information about using Document Option Com-
mands and the PRINT command qualifiers is in chapter 4, “Queues,
/Parameters, and Logicals.”
