The following modes of operation may be turned on (set) or turned off
(reset) with a Set/Reset sequence. Each of these modes has a
unique selection parameter.
Line Feed/New Line Mode (LNM)
Carriage Return/New Line Mode (DECCRNLM)
Autowrap Mode (DECAWM)
Pitch Select Mode (DECPSM)
Proportional Spacing Mode (DECPSP)
Origin Placement Mode (DECOPM)
Position Unit Mode (PUM)
Select Size Unit (SSU)
Set and reset escape sequences have the same syntax; only the ter-
minator differentiates between

This mode controls how the printer performs a line feed in response
to a line feed character. When LNM is set (on), the printer moves the
current position down one line and moves the active column to the left
