The following modes of operation may be turned on (set) or turned off
(reset) with a Set/Reset sequence. Each of these modes has a
unique selection parameter.
 Line Feed/New Line Mode (LNM)
 Carriage Return/New Line Mode (DECCRNLM)
 Autowrap Mode (DECAWM)
 Pitch Select Mode (DECPSM)
 Proportional Spacing Mode (DECPSP)
 Origin Placement Mode (DECOPM)
 Position Unit Mode (PUM)
 Select Size Unit (SSU)
Set and reset escape sequences have the same syntax; only the ter-
minator differentiates between set or reset .
The syntax for a set sequence is
<ESC>[ Ps h
The syntax for a reset sequence is
<ESC>[ Ps l
(The terminator for a reset sequence is a lowercase L.)

This mode controls how the printer performs a line feed in response
to a line feed character. When LNM is set (on), the printer moves the
current position down one line and moves the active column to the left
