7 Reinstall the controller board panel on the printer.
8 Push the fuser unit back in.
9 Close the printer’s front cover.
10 Reconnect all interface cables.
11 Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
»Note:
In compliance with UL guidelines, “The appliance inlet is
considered to be the main disconnect device.”
Check that the startup page indicates the font SIMM just installed
under “Options.”

12 Ensure that the Administration/Memory/Disk Cache memory
client is set to at least 20 KB.
5 Insert the font SIMM
into the font SIMM
connector.
The font SIMM connector is
smaller than the RAM SIMM
connector. Hold the SIMM
at a 45° angle to the
controller board, with the
notch on the right side and
the bottom edge of the
SIMM in the connector.
6 Tilt the SIMM up toward you to a 90° angle until you feel it
snap into place.
When seated, the SIMM stands upright, firmly in place.


 Caution: If you can’t snap the SIMM into place, don’t force it.
Reposition it, making sure that the bottom of the SIMM is seated
completely in the connector.
