Removal and Replacement Procedures
RRP 5.4 Toner Sensor (PL 7.2)
Removal
1. Remove the Rear Cover

2. Disconnect P/J127 from the MCU PWB.
3. Open the Left Upper Cover.
4. Remove the EP Cartrid
g
e

5. Use the flat blade of a screwdriver to pr

up the front end of the Toner Sensor
(
refer to the fi

ure
)
.
6. When the front end is freed, remove the Sensor alon
g
with the attached wire harness.
Replacement
1. Reinstall the Toner Sensor and attached sprin
g
s.
(
refer to the fi
g
ure for correct positionin
g)
.
2. Route the attached wire harness alon
g
the channel and throu
g
h the small openin
g
in the rear of the
frame.
3. Press the Toner Sensor into the cutout in the bottom of the EP Cartrid
g
e cavit
y
.
4. Press and release the Toner Sensor to make sure it has a sprin
g
-action return.
5. Reconnect P/J127 to the MCU PWB.
6. Reinstall the Rear Cover
(

7. Reinstall the EP Cartrid
g
e

)

8. Close the Left Upper Cover.
