Removal and Replacement Procedures
RRP 2.15 Tray 2 Retard Assembly (PL3.6)
Removal
1. Open the Left Lower Cover.
2. Remove the screw securin
g
the Feed In Chute to the Assembl
y
, and slide the Chute to the front of the
Assembl
y
to remove it.
3. Remove the plastic Feed Chute from the Take Awa
y
Roll.
4. Unhook the sprin
g
from the Retard Support.
5. Remove the screw securin
g
the Gear Stopper to the Assembl
y
, and move the Stopper out of the wa
y
.
6. Remove the E rin
g
securin
g
Gear 22 to the shaft and remove the Gear.
7. Remove the plastic bearin
g
securin
g
the Take Awa
y
Roll Shaft to the front of the printer frame, and
remove the Retard Assembl
y
and attached Take Awa
y
Roll.
8. Remove the Take Awa
y
Roll

Replacement
1. Reinstall the Take Awa
y
Roll Shaft onto the Retard Support
(
RRP 2.14
)
.
2. Reinstall the Retard Assembl
y
and Take Awa
y
Roll back into the printer frame.
3. Reinstall the plastic bearin
g
into the hole at the front of the frame.
4. Reinstall Gear 22 to the rear of the shaft, and use an E rin
g
to secure the Gear.
5. Ali
g
n the screw hole in the Gear Stopper with the screw hole in the frame, and use one screw to
secure the Stopper.
6. Reattach the sprin
g
to the Retard Support.
7. Reinstall the plastic Feed Chute to the Take Awa
y
Roll.
8. Reinstall the Feed In Chute, and use one screw to secure it to the Assembl
y
