In addition to the Centronics and IEEE 1284 parallel interface, your
printer provides a standard Ethernet (CrownNet) interface that allows
you to connect to EtherTalk, LAN Manager/LAN Server, NetWare, and
TCP/IP networks. The following optional interface cards are available:
LocalTalk (to connect to a single Macintosh or a LocalTalk net-
work)
Ethernet
DECNet-TCP/IP

Serial
Check with your QMS vendor for current availability of optional inter-
faces. See appendix A, “QMS Customer Support,” for locations and
telephone numbers.
You can connect a computer directly to the printer’s parallel interface
or use the Ethernet interface to connect to a wide variety of micro-
computers, workstations, minicomputers, and mainframe computers
on four different networks simultaneously.
User-Benefit—This support increases printer flexibility and allows for
cost and resource sharing across multiple environments.
