turn on the printer, wait for IDLE to appear in the message window,
and then print an advanced status page. (See the “Working With

1 Unpack the scanner.
Remove all packing material and shipping tape. Store the packing
material in a safe place in case you need to move the unit.
2 Place the scanner on a flat work surface.
3 Remove the shipping bracket.
The shipping bracket stabilizes the carrier unit during transport.
a Lift the scanner from the rear side.
▲ Caution: Do not turn the scanner upside down when
removing the shipping bracket.
