4 Attach the LocalTalk Interface card.
a Position the LocalTalk interface card so the port slides into
the opening you just created.
b Snap the LocalTalk interface card onto the 80-pin connector
on the controller board.
c Press down on the board gently until it is secured by the 80-
pin connector and by the plastic standoff post.
5 Replace the controller board.
Use the instructions in chapter 2 “Memory and System Software,”
the “Reinstalling the Controller Board” section, of this manual.
6 Secure the LocalTalk interface card to the printer with the
two screws you removed earlier.
7 Reconnect all interface cables and the power cord, and then
turn on the printer.

Connecting to the optional LocalTalk interface involves basically three
steps: assembling the proper interface cabling (use a LocalTalk-type
kit such as Farallon's PhoneNET, available from your QMS vendor),
