The system software in your QMS 2425/2425 TURBO Print System is
stored on either 8 MB of flash ROM (read-only memory that can be
erased and rewritten to “in a flash”) or on the internal hard disk. This
allows you to update the system software without opening up the
printer and installing new PROMs.
▲ Caution: To update system software on a hard-disk-based printer,
the printer must have at least a 16 MB SIMM installed in the first
SIMM slot (DRAMO).
Updated system software allows you to take advantage of future
enhancements to the printer.
»Note: The software loadable system mentioned in this section does
not modify the code used by QMS CrownNet interface boards. To
update the code used by the QMS CrownNet interface boards, see
the QMS CrownNet System Administrator’s Guide.
Use the Administration/Miscellaneous/New System Image menu to
update the system software.

download system software to your QMS 2425/2425 TURBO Print
System.
