Use the following instructions to determine if you need to upgrade the
option controller board.
1 Look for a red-round seal on the option controller board.
a If it is present, you don’t need to perform an option controller
board upgrade. Continue at step 5 below to install the option
controller board.
b If it is not present, continue at the next step to replace the
ROM chip.
2 Identify the socket location of the existing ROM chip, clasp
the chip with the ROM chip puller, and remove it.
