3 Close the document cover carefully, making sure that the
paper does not move and is flat against the glass.
»Note: If you’re copying a page from a book rather than a single
sheet, you will not be able to close the document cover completely.
The rear side of the document cover will lift up to accommodate
books. However, you should hold the book firmly against the
scanner glass. The part of the book in close contact with the glass
will copy clearly, but any part not in close contact with the glass
may be distorted or unclear.
4 Make sure the printer’s Online light is on.
If the Online light is not on, press the Online key to put the printer
on line.
5 Press the printer’s Copy key.
In the printer’s message window you should see
COPIER MENU
COPY
6 Press the Select key and you should see
COPY
READY TO COPY
7 Press the Select key again, and the scanner should begin
copying your document.
▲ Caution: Do not press on or open the scanner cover during the
copy process.
8 When the copying is complete, remove the document from
the scanner glass, and close the scanner cover.
