8 Choose Send from the QMS Manager button bar to
open the Send Document dialog box.
9 In the Send Document dialog box, select QMS Regis-
tration Card from the Phone List.
10 Choose the Add button to add QMS Registration
Card to the Send To list.
11 In the Dialing Prefix text box, if necessary, type 9 (or
whatever prefix you normally have to dial to get an
outside line) followed by a comma. The comma
makes the modem pause long enough for the out-
side-line dial tone.
Note:
If you’re going to need a dialing prefix (such as 9,) for
most of your faxes, you can have QMS Manager add it for
you. Choose Prefer-ences from the Options menu in QMS
Manager, then type the prefix in the Dialing Prefix text box
and select the Use Dialing Prefix checkbox. Choose the
+HO
S
button for more information on options in that dialog box.
12 Choose OK to send your registration information to
our toll-free number.
