Specifications

Serial cable—If the printer is more than 6.5 feet/2 meters from the
computer, we recommend using a serial cable for better communica-
tion. For best results, the printer and computer should be less than 25
feet/7.6 meters from each other.
▲ Caution : If you’re connecting the printer to a single PC, turn off both
systems first.
1 Connect the PC and the printer
Parallel cable
a Connect the 25-pin end of the cable to the PC’s parallel
port.
b Tighten the screws.
c Attach the 36-pin end of the cable to the printer’s parallel
port (it’s labeled “PARALLEL”).
d Close the clips.
