Viewing and Managing the Alarm Log
SANsurfer FC HBA Manager continuously monitors the connected hosts for alarms.
Both the HBA icon and HBA port icon on the HBA tree display alarm status. When
SANsurfer FC HBA Manager receives an alarm, the HBA icon and HBA port icon
display the most severe alarm received. For a listing of all alarm status types, see
section 8.2.1. The HBA tree does not display informational alarms nor unknown
alarms. In the HBA tree, alarm status is indicated as follows:
The HBA icons are:
■ Good. No alarm
■ Warning. Warning alarm
■ Loop Down
■ Bad. Bad alarm
The HBA port icons are:

The alarm log displays alarms that occur on hosts connected to your system. Alarms
display in the order that they occur, with the most recent alarm at the top of the list.
Or they display in the order you specify. New alarms populate the alarm log
automatically.
