Viewing Device Information
Perform the following steps to view device (disk and tape) information from the Fibre
Channel Port Configuration dialog box and LUN Configuration dialog box:
1. To display information about a device, do one of the following:
❑ From the Fibre Channel Port Configuration dialog box, right-click a cell in
the device Node Name, device Port Name, or device Port ID column. From
the pop-up menu, select Device Information.
❑ From the LUN Configuration dialog box, right-click a cell in the LUN,
Enable, or device Port Name column. From the pop-up menu, select Device
Information.
The Device Information dialog box displays (see figure 7-18).

The following information displays:
❑ Product ID. Product ID of the device
❑ Product Vendor. Device manufacturer
❑ Product Revision. Device revision level
❑ Path. Path number
❑ Target. Device number
❑ LUN. LUN of the first LUN attached to the device
❑ Loop ID. The device’s AL_PA on the loop
❑ Port ID. Port ID of the selected device’s port
❑ Node Name. World wide node name of the device
❑ Port Name. World wide port name of the selected device’s port
NOTE: If the device node name was selected in step 1, all the device’s
port names display.
❑ Number of LUNs. Number of LUNs attached to the device
2. Click OK to close the Device Information dialog box.
