Alarm Messages
This section describes the alarm message format and lists the alarm messages in
message ID sequence. Each alarm message in the list includes a meaning and
recommended action.
3.1
Alarm Message Format
Each alarm message has the following format:
[ordinal][time_stamp][message_ID][module][message_text]
[ordinal] – A number assigned to each message in sequence since that last
time the alarm history was cleared.
[time_stamp] – The time the alarm was issued in the format
day-month-hh:mm:ss:ms-yyyy. This time stamp comes from the switch.
[message_ID] – A number that identifies the message using the following
format: category.message_number
[module] – The firmware module that issued the alarm. The firmware modules
include SM (Switch Management), EPort, Zoning, and nserver (Nameserver).
[message_text] – The alarm message text

You can look up a message by its message ID or by searching for the message
text. If the message you are looking for does not appear in this section, contact
your authorized maintenance provider.
